Big thanks to Josh Murrary for upping these to Youtube. We booked Charlie Chuck (Dave) to do a short gig on the uk-mkivs.net club at this years GTI International show. The show, held at Bruntingthorpe in near Northampton, is one of the biggest VW shows in the UK and is held annually each year. Given this was the shows 20th Anniversary we really wanted to make an impact and what better way to do it...
BBC Top Gear: The Stig talks on camera!
Could this be the first time Top gears' Stig has been caught on camera giving an interview? The video comes from a Dutch TV channel who gained backstage access to the Top Gear show. The show itself airs all over the world, probably earning the BBC quite a lot of money in resale rights which could probably the reason why they've been allowed to get away with so much over the years! Your posture while driving?
Thinking the other day (yes I can think) while driving into work about the different types of posture people use while driving.... At this point I noticed another driver pulled up next to me who was sitting pretty much right on top of their steering wheel. I thought they must have been reaching for something, or possibly be a disabled driver (some require hand controls etc.) but on closer inspection...
The New Golf RSI?
Noting the number plate RS branding - could this be a hint to the next installment of the performance orientated approach VW seem to be taking? Sporting the same front bumper and side skirt design as the excellently titled "Thunderbunny" concept (see images blow), which debuted at the 2006 SEMA show in Vegas, could this of been a first peak at the new model? Interesting to note in the press conference...
Farewell to my 25th Anniversary GTI
Over the last few months the whole 'Keeping a car in the garage' thing has been eating away at me. More than likely this is down to the Show Season now being over, and I'm so anal about keeping the car clean I refused to drive it around day-to-day. The uk-mkivs 2007 calendar!
I've just finished this years uk-mkivs calendar. Designed as a 14 page A3 glossy calendar it proved to be a great seller last year with all 100 copies being sold pretty rapidly. For this year I've gone along with the same design as last year, with the only changes being a matched red header cell colour for weekdays and the removal of a quote entry from the main title section.
