Gabbly.com - Online chat with a difference
Just checking out site stats for uk-mkivs, and under referral conversions I noticed a load of referrals from a service called Gabbly.com
- Had a look and was suprised to see its a live chat service that lets
you browse a site, while an active chat channel box is open. It groups users around a
common subject (the site name is the group) so you can talk live about cars etc. while browsing the
forums, blogs and other parts of the site.
We've always been asked to provide a live chat service on uk-mkivs and have always taken the line of it adding too much overhead to the server. This certainly solves that issue due to the remote nature of Gabbly and its invasive way of interacting with a site.
You can even subscribe to an RSS feed for the chat channel, so you don't miss out.
