I've just finished this years uk-mkivs calendar. Designed as a 14 page A3 glossy calendar it proved to be a great seller last year with all 100 copies being sold pretty rapidly. For this year I've gone along with the same design as last year, with the only changes being a matched red header cell colour for weekdays and the removal of a quote entry from the main title section. I'm really happy with the quality of images supplied by the members of uk-mkivs, they all look subtly different in their own way and each match the month they were chosen to represent.

Using Macromedia Fireworks as the main tool for design may not be the usual choice, but I just can't get enough of using it. I'm still not 100% on Photoshop as I tend to use this more for post image processing, of which most images used in the calendar were knocked out with this method. A slight Gaussian blur layer with a hint overlay of colouration works wonders to bring out some details.

Currently being printed by Tuddenham Press, with delivery expected for late this week, I expect to start selling these w/c 4th December at a reasonable price of £10.99 each including postage and packing.

Here are the previews - hope you like!
